At Nando Studio, I host tufting workshops where we dive into the colorful, tactile world of textile design. It’s hands-on, a bit messy, super fun – and you’ll walk away with your very own custom rug.
Whether you’ve never touched a tufting gun before or already have some experience, these sessions are all about exploring your creativity. I’ll guide you through the whole process – from the first lines on the frame to the final shearing – and we’ll play with color, texture, and materials to bring your ideas to life.
The vibe? Relaxed and supportive. It’s more about expression than perfection, and I’m there every step of the way to help you shape something that feels truly yours. Nando Studio
Hey, I’m Ferdinando Colosimo, and this is Nando Studio – my design studio based in Cologne. I create handmade rugs, objects, and spaces that live somewhere between design, art, and craft. My inspiration comes from everyday life, human connections, and a deep love for bold colors and textures.
Most of my pieces are made using a tufting gun – it’s a tool that lets me shoot yarn into fabric to build rich, textured surfaces. It’s a bit wild, but that’s part of the fun. The result? One-of-a-kind pieces that bring warmth, character, and personality into any space. My work is all about material, color, and storytelling. I love transforming ordinary spaces into something inspiring – with pieces that are both decorative and functional. Sometimes that means a custom rug for a cozy home, other times it’s a larger installation for a commercial space.
Nando Studio is where craft meets concept. It’s about experimenting, collaborating, and always staying connected to what feels human and real – through fibers, colors, and the stories they carry.
